On May 21, 2011, the LUZVIMIN (usa) Bicycle Racing Team is leading a bike ride around the beautiful scenic roads of the delta to help Cesar “JR” Calanoc raise funds for his Bantay Bata Foundation. The ride is 65 miles long or 100 KM and starts at Bear Creek High School in Stockton, California. Water and refreshments will be served at the 27-mile mark with a post ride meal of BBQ, Papaitan and Kilawin.A Poker game will be played during the ride and the rider with the best hand at the end of the ride will win a bottle of wine. There will be raffle giveaways for $1 per ticket. Riders can look forward to rubbing elbows with Philippine’s Cycling Legend Manuel Reynante during the 100 kilometer bike ride. This first Annual Bike ride for Bantay Bata is inspired by Cesar “JR” Calanoc, a triathlete from the Bay Area who is embarking on one of the greatest challenge of his life, raising funds for the Bantay Bata while doing the Canadian Subaru Ironman---a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. To sign up for this ride please call 209-298-3419 or send an email to email@example.com. Donation is $5.00 per rider. Helmets are required and participants must sign a Release of Liability form at the start. All proceeds will go to Bantay Bata in Behalf of Cesar “JR” Calanoc.
There is a big possibility that the TFC or representatives from ABS-CBN Bantay Bata Foundation will be participating in this First Annual Bantay Batay Ride so we hope to see our brothers in the cycling community... Tracy Riders, F.A.C.T., MyTropa, Siclista California, Sacramento Pinoy Riders, Adobo Velo, and of course our riders from the LUZVIMIN RACING TEAM.
For those who have TFC, I am sure you've probably already seen JR's plea for donation to help the Bantay Bata Foundation on his LUZVIMIN RACING TEAM kit.
Sana makakarating kayo...
