On my way to San Jose Regional Center

To visit our good friend JohnnyBoy in ICU. He's alright and in good spirit.

Unbelievable but John suffered a heart attack last night and the blockage has been cleared with angioplasty. Another procedure will be done tomorrow at noon to clear the other blockage. Please keep Johnny in your prayers.

John had a heart attack around 2:00 AM Tuesday. From what I observed, his heart rate was irratic, blood pressure was not registering. His pulse was reading in the low 30s. They had to pace him with electricity to stabilize him before they could make him ambulatory. Amazingly he was pretty much conscious during the whole time I was there.

guys thanks for your prayers and well wishes. Just taking it easy for the time being but it might take me a bit to get back on the bike.

Hi Daniel - no surgery for me - just a couple of angioplasty procedures to clear out my pipes :). I feel as if nothing happen but the reality is I have to let my heart heal and take it slow.

you all take care of yourself and God Bless!

ey johnny boy... that's the heart of a horse and nothing can stop it. lance armstrong would be jealous to know that you have a slower heart rate than he does. hehehe.

anyway... athletes really suffer what medicine calls sinus bradicardia. but this just means that our heart pumps more slowly and efficiently. but of course, taking it easy with age. that attack could probably have been worse if you weren't cycling...

get well and keep peddalin' bro...
